THANK YOU to all who wrote, faxed, emailed or called PetSmart corporate offices in strong opposition to their recent test market selling of domestic rabbits.
Every day, shelters across our country routinely euthanize pet rabbits due to lack of space. The 3rd most popular pet, they are regularly abandoned because of behavioral issues. But, the sad fact is, a rabbit is extremely intelligent, lives happily with cats and most dogs, can be easily trained to use a litter box and if spayed or neutered, will become a happy, gentle pet and loving part of your family.
PetSmart will continue to welcome rabbit rescues and adoptions as part of their commitment to finding homes for homeless pets. Please contact PetSmart and tell them THANK YOU!

We are appalled that PetSmart would sink to this level to increase sales. They have always been the leader in pet adoption and charity support by having in store adoption facilities and weekend Adoptathons used by thousands of rescues and humane societies. (C&C included). Every rabbit that PetSmart sells takes the life of a homeless bunny desperately waiting for a home.
While we applaud that PetSmart's rabbits are spayed or neutered, at their price of $99.99, you can normally get 2 (yes, bunnies need a friend!) already litter box trained and spayed or neutered rabbits, plus a nice starter kit and possibly a free first vet visit included AND you will be saving a life and allowing valuable shelter or foster space for more buns to be rescued! Everyone wins!
Speak Out: Tell Petsmart NO to Rabbit Sales!
Please take the time to write a letter, as well. Tell PetSmart you support rabbit adoption and will gladly purchase their supplies, but until these sales cease, you will continue to spread the word they are supporting the death sentence of homeless rabbits in shelters across our country.
